Comfortable. Seen. Free to simply be.

Welcome! Whether we are shooting creative portraits, updating your professional headshots, or capturing a lifestyle family session, my mission is to capture your genuine energy and personality.

Almost everyone starts a session by telling me, "I’m not photogenic" or "I hate having my photo taken." I promise you, within ten minutes of working with me, those nerves will completely melt away.

Here is how we prepare for a flawless, fun shoot.

1. Your Ultimate Wardrobe & Styling Guide - What you wear has a massive impact on the tone, mood, and professionalism of your final gallery.

Here are my golden rules for dressing for the camera:

  • The Power of Neutrals & Earth Tones: Solid, organic colours, like cream, taupe, warm olive, navy, slate grey, rust, and forest green, complement almost every skin tone and draw the viewer's eye straight to your face.

  • Textures Over Patterns: Avoid loud, busy patterns, bold stripes, or giant graphic logos, as they can visually distort on camera and quickly date your photos. Instead, bring depth to your outfit with rich textures: chunky knits, linen, denim, leather jackets, or layered cardigans.

Bring Options (The "Rule of Three"): I always suggest bringing three distinct options:

Option 1: Casual and relaxed (your absolute favourite, most comfortable outfit).

Option 2: Smart-casual/Professional (crisp, tailored, and confident).

Option 3: A "wildcard" (something with a bit of drama, movement, or a bold color you love).

We will look through them together at the start of our session and match them to our locations!

2. Hair, Makeup, and Grooming Prep Hydration is Key:

  • Drink plenty of water in the 48 hours leading up to your session. It hydrates your skin, minimizes dark circles, and gives you a natural, healthy glow.

  • Makeup Natural: Camera sensors pick up fine details, so heavy foundation can sometimes look flat. Stick to clean, natural makeup that highlights your features rather than masking them.

  • Grooming: For those shaving before a session, try to do so a few hours beforehand to let any skin irritation or redness subside.

Bring a lip balm and hairbrush with you just for quick touch-ups!
